Our first destination was the Dubai Mall. Our hotel is about 15 minutes from the hotel and it was a great chance to see the amazing buildings as we got closer. The thing that has struck us most is how clean and well maintained the city is.
At the mall is an aquarium so we thought we go and check out as everything seems to be bigger and better here in Dubai. As you walk into the mall you can't miss it...the tank is huge and teeming with fish. I didn't realise how big it was until I noticed a diver feeding the fish.
The aquarium is divided up into sections. First you walk under the tank through a tunnel. The aquarium is split over three levels and we found it a bit difficult to work out where to go next. At first we thought the tunnel was it and we thought we had wasted our money, but luckily we found the other parts and was more impressed with what we saw.
We had a tour of what goes in behind the scenes and how the tanks worked. We then went on to see an amazing array of tanks and fish.
I think when we get home our fishtank might undergo a renovation.
